Embest has announced the release of Embest lxRTOS which is a multi-thread, multi-task real-time operating system intended for using in embedded systems that require maximum reliability. This embedded RTOS is focused on ARM7/9 processor families in full source code. The lxRTOS has a Preemptive ARM kernel written in ANSI C, and is able to support various C compilers, few parts of codes are written in assembly language and is with high portability.

Embest PXA270DB evaluation board speeds PXA270 development
Embest Info and Tech Co has introduced another high-end ARM development platform based on Intel XScale PXA270 processor after its release of a PXA255 board last year. The Embest PXA270DB evaluation board provides an ideal solution for PXA270 development on Windows CE 4.2, which allows designers to cut time to market and save costs. The board uses all the features of the Intel XScale PXA270 processor which is able to work at up to 520MHz.

Embest launches ARM9 SBC targets Linux device designs
Embest is shipping a small ARM9-based SBC (single-board computer) based on a Samsung S3C2410X processor clocked up to 266MHz. The SBC2410-II comes with Linux, and targets handheld devices, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), data distribution devices, and medical, security, and communication controllers.
