440-series PowerPC chips gain Linux-aware debuggers
Embedded Toolsmiths says its hardware-assisted JTAG debugger now supports AMCC's entire portfolio of 400-series PowerPC processors. The company last week added support for two currently sampling AMCC SAN/RAID SoCs to its Guardian-SE JTAG ICE (in-circuit emulator) and Agile-DB debugger.

Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC) announced its storage technology roadmap for the year, including its plans for adopting PCI Express, RAID 6, Serial-attached SCSI (SAS), and other performance-enhancing storage technologies. As a first roadmap deliverable, AMCC today released the 3ware(R) 9590SE, an extension of its popular 9550SX family of 3Gb/s SATA II RAID controllers.

Micrium RTOS Supports AMCC’s New PowerPC Processor
Micrium, a leading provider of high quality embedded software components for consumer, industrial and military applications, announced that its uC/OS-II real time operating system (RTOS) has been successfully ported to Applied Micro Circuits Corporation’s (AMCC) PowerPC 405EZ Acadia platform.
