    Accelerated Technology(R), a Mentor Graphics division (Nasdaq:MENT), unveiled its new Nucleus(R) Energy Manager (EM) software. Combined with the ARM(R) Intelligent Energy Management (IEM) software technology and Dynamic Voltage & Frequency Scaling (DVFS) hardware, the Nucleus EM software allows developers to increase energy performance resulting in extended battery life for handheld devices. These include smart phones, feature phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), game consoles, and media players.

    Mentor Graphics announced that Synchromesh Computing has validated the EDGE Tool Suite on the Freescale Semiconductor i.MX family of applications processors. The third-party validation, which was conducted under the "Cool Tool Experience" program, provides software developers with assurance that the EDGE software effectively supports the Freescale technology, including a complete and trouble-free, out-of-the-box experience.
  • Mentor Graphics Nucleus RTOS and EDGE Tools Now Available for Developers of Wireless Mobile Devices Using Freescale's i.MX31 Applications Processor
    Mentor Graphics Corporation (Nasdaq:MENT) announced that its Nucleus(R) PLUS real-time operating system (RTOS) and the Eclipse-powered EDGE(TM) integrated development environment (IDE) and debugger now support the i.MX31 multimedia applications processor from Freescale Semiconductor. As a result, users of the Nucleus PLUS RTOS and EDGE tools can develop i.MX31 processor-based applications that include video and audio media players, mobile gaming consoles, GPS systems, smart phones, PDAs, ultra portable handheld computers and other wireless mobile devices.
  • Mentor Graphics Delivers First Hardware/Software Processor Support Package for the ARM Cortex-M3 Processor
    Mentor Graphics Corporation (Nasdaq:MENT) announced the availability of the first Mentor processor support package for the ARM(R) Cortex(TM)-M3 processor, which works with Mentor Graphics' Seamless(R) tool to expose hardware/software integration errors inherent in processor-based designs. A Seamless processor support package for the ARM11(TM) MPCore(TM) multiprocessor is also available.
