Software Development Tools, Silicon and Resources for Embedded Device Developers

  • Oki Semiconductor is working with development tool firm IAR Systems to provide support for its ARM9-based Advantage Microcontroller family.
    The two companies will offer a C/C++ compiler and debugger chain for designers to use with Oki’s ML69Q6203 CPU board, and other board designs that use ML696200 series MCUs and support a JTAG connector.
  • OKI Electric Licenses SMSC's MediaLB Technology
    SMSC (Nasdaq: SMSC) today announced that it has reached a licensing agreement with Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (TSE: 6703) enabling its controllers that target next generation in-car information equipment market, such as digital car-audio systems, to connect through SMSC's MediaLB interface to a high-performance Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST®) network. MOST is a de facto industry standard for automotive multimedia networking deployed by virtually every major European automobile manufacturer.
  • Enea and IAR Systems Announce Evaluation Platform for Oki's ARM-based ML67Q4050/60 Microcontrollers; Bundles Enea's OSE Epsilon RTOS and IAR Embedded Workbench with Oki's AME-51 Evaluation Board
    Enea (STO:ENEA), the world leader in advanced device software, and IAR Systems, a world-leading provider of embedded development tools, announced that they have partnered with Oki Electric to offer a new evaluation platform for Oki Electric's family of ARM-based ML67Q4050 and ML67Q4060 microcontrollers. The new evaluation platform will bundle Enea's OSE Epsilon real-time operating system and IAR Embedded Workbench with Oki's AME-51 evaluation board.
